In one month, U.S. Internet users watched more than 16.8 billion videos. Billion! Online video viewers are spending about 45% more time per day watching videos than a year ago, and far less time than watching TV, Nielsen reported last month. ComScore in July said year-over-year Internet video-viewing growth almost doubled.
According to a recent Brightroll Report Q1 2009, when polling ad agency executives on their online advertising budgets, the majority (71%) of survey participants view online video advertising as a complementary medium to TV. No shocker then that 87% said they plan to spend more on online video advertising.
